Job summary

Arcus FM Limited is seeking a part-time In Store Cleaner based at Sainsbury's Alnwick store on a permanent basis. The role is 19 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.71, and immediate start is available.

Sainsbury’s stores run 7 days a week with varied shift patterns including early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. You will perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain high standards, including operating machinery, mopping, vacuuming, wiping and sweeping; sometimes in-store

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience beneficial but not essential.
• An eye for detail and cleanliness.
• A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and performing thorough cleaning tasks.
• Mopping, vacuuming, wiping and sweeping to keep stores clean.
• Occasionally cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or oven canopies.
• Maintaining external areas like trolley bays and ensuring health and safety procedures.
• Arcus will provide full training.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part time In Store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's Alnwick store on a permanent basis. 19 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Immediate start is available.

Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

Sunday: 08:00 to 13:00

Monday: Day off

Tuesday: 05:30 to 08:00

Wednesday: 05:30 to 08:00

Thursday: 05:00 to 08:00

Friday: 05:00 to 08:00

Saturday: 05:00 to 08:00

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies
• At other times you could be working outside keeping trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied

Arcus will support you through full training

What will you need?

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied

An eye for detail and cleanliness

A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service

Please note that you will need to provide a smartphone that has NFC capability to access our Arcus Connect App that we use for recording time and attendance. This is a condition of your employment with us.
