Job summary

Praxis Group in Glasgow is looking for a credible Head of Security to lead the dedicated security function at St Enoch, one of the city’s busiest retail destinations. You’ll own the strategy, lead from the front and shape how security operates in a high-footfall environment.

This role requires resilience, clear decision-making under pressure, and strong relationships with Police Scotland, local authorities and tenants.

Qualifications

• Significant security leadership experience.
• Experience managing large operational teams and security managers.
• Strong knowledge of risk, incidents, crime prevention and emergency response.
• Experience working with Police, emergency services and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of counter-terrorism and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Resilience, judgement and confidence to operate in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop 3-4 Security Managers and the wider security team.
• Set and deliver the Centre’s security strategy.
• Manage risk, crime prevention, incidents and emergency preparedness.
• Lead counter-terrorism preparedness and Martyn's Law compliance.
• Build relationships with Police Scotland, Glasgow City Council and emergency services.
• Manage contractors, security systems, budgets and performance.
• Work closely with tenants and Centre Management.
• Use operational insight and data to continuously improve standards.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence across the Centre.
