Job summary

Dardan Security Ltd is hiring a Retail CCTV Officer for a leading shopping centre in Cambridge. You will monitor CCTV, identify risks, investigate incidents, and support visitor safety while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires a valid CCTV and SIA licence, right to work in the UK, and a professional, presentable appearance. Typical shifts are 4 on/4 off, night and weekend work, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate CCTV systems in accordance with company procedures
• Identify, record, and report suspicious activity, incidents, and potential security concerns
• Liaise with on-site security teams, management and retailers when required
• Respond effectively to emergencies, alarms, and incidents
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and CCTV operational procedures
• Supporting with building a community partnership
• Deliver excellent customer service to visitors and tenants
• Full in-house training will be provided.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Retail CCTV Officer to join our established security team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong observational skills, a proactive approach to safety, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Our client is the regions award-winning shopping centre located in the heart of Cambridge city centre and surrounded by historic architecture. The centre is home to a range of premium high street retailers offering an exceptional shopping experience.

As a CCTV Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by monitoring CCTV systems, identifying and responding to potential security risks, investigating incidents, and supporting the overall safety of the shopping centre.

Your duties include (but are not limited to):

• Monitor and operate CCTV systems in accordance with company procedures

Essential Skills and Experience

• Valid CCTV Licence
• Valid SIA Licence
• Right to work in the UK and a five-year checkable history
• Punctual and reliable

• Knowledge of the MS packages (excel, word, outlook)
• Highly intuitive with a curious mindset
