Job summary

Dardan is seeking a Security Officer at a site in Cambridge. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for staff, visitors and contractors, performing regular patrols, logging incidents, controlling access, and responding to alarms while upholding security standards.

Full in-house training will be provided. You must hold a valid SIA Licence and a Full UK Driving Licence, with a five-year checkable history and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot and mobile patrols to identify and report security risks or incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports of security-related activities.
• Control access and egress, verifying authorisation of individuals entering the premises.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following site procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high security standards.
• Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV and access control.

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading location which supports early-stage bioscience enterprise, a place where discovery research and business come together with a shared scientific focus.

The role of a Security Officer is highly respected and will become part of the core Security team. You will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors.
