Job summary

Kawartha Financial Services is seeking a Financial Services Representative for our Cornwall, ON location. This full‑time, on‑site role blends retail lending with mutual funds advisory to help members achieve their personal financial objectives.

Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Saturday, with a competitive starting compensation and comprehensive benefits. You will assess member needs, process lending requests (personal loans, lines of credit and mortgages), provide needs‑based advice,

Qualifications

• Two years’ comprehensive experience in consumer lending.
• Advanced member service and sales skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Mutual Funds License is preferred or a commitment to obtaining within 6 months of start date.
• Willingness to complete additional educational components as required.

Responsibilities

• Recommend lending and mutual fund solutions to help members reach financial goals.
• Assess member needs and refer to the appropriate service area.
• Conduct interviews for personal loans, lines of credit and mortgages, and support the full personal lending process; including documentation, credit analysis & payout.
• Adjudicate credit applications within assigned lending limits.
• Provide needs-based advice on budgeting, credit management and retirement planning.
• Establish and maintain relationships with members through excellent service.
• Travel to and support branches in the Eastern District as needed.
