Job summary

Timberland, part of the VF family, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Cardiff store. You will support the Store Manager, drive sales, develop the team, and ensure exceptional customer experiences in a global brand setting.

We value hands-on leadership, initiative, and a passion for the outdoors lifestyle. The role involves opening/closing the store, coaching staff, and maintaining brand standards in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Love interacting with customers.
• Hands-on mentality, enthusiasm and passion for delivering a fantastic customer experience.
• Proactive and able to take initiative when Store Manager is absent.
• Able to mentor employees and help them grow.
• Experience in opening/closing a store and leading a team to maximise sales.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient with MS Office and POS systems.
• Flexible to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and profitability in synergy with your Store Manager.
• Motivating, mentoring, and coaching sales associates.
• Assist Store Manager in implementing retail processes and look for improvements.
• Oversee core retail procedures such as inventory and P&L.
• Report performance metrics and KPIs to improve store results.
• Ensure the store looks great per brand visual guidelines.
• Provide cover in the store manager’s absence.
