Farmfoods is hiring an Assistant Manager for our Kirkby-In-Ashfield shop. The 43‑hour, five‑day week role includes weekend shifts and a salary of £31,449.60–£35,306.88 per year. Benefits include 30 days holiday, 15% staff discount and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will support the shop manager, coach staff, and ensure smooth operations, costs control, and high customer service. Training and progression opportunities exist within the Farmfoods family.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Trustworthy and reliable; important part of a small team.
• Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if hired.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Develop and coach your retail team through mentoring and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure deliveries, routines, and safety measures are completed.
• Help control costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Assist with recruitment and induction of new team members.
