Job summary

Farmfoods is hiring an Assistant Manager for our Rochdale shop. This permanent, full-time role covers 43 hours across 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift. The salary ranges from £31,449 to £35,306 per year, with 30 days holiday and a 15% staff discount.

You’ll work with the shop manager to run the store, develop the team through coaching, and help control costs while delivering great service and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Willing to complete Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland).
• Proven ability to deliver great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the shop and deliver great customer service.
• Develop the shop team through coaching and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager.
• Control costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
