Job summary

Farmfoods Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager for a full-time position in Kirkby-In-Ashfield, NG17 7JE. The role is 43 hours across 5 days, with weekend shifts and a salary between £31,449.60 and £35,306.88 per year. Benefits include 30 days holiday, 15% staff discount, and a comprehensive staff benefits package.

The successful candidate will work with the shop manager to drive excellent service, develop the team, and manage costs while ensuring a tidy, safe shop and great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Friendly, positive, hardworking approach.
• Willing to be flexible including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Coach and mentor the team to develop retail staff performance.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are handled, and shop routines are kept safe and tidy.
• Help control costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
