Farmfoods Ltd in Basingstoke is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations on a 43-hour contract across five days, including weekends.

You will work closely with the shop manager to develop a small team, drive sales, maintain store standards, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervising staff.
• Ability to coach and develop a team.
• Flexible to work weekends and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run an efficient shop and provide great service.
• Develop and coach a team of retail assistants.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure that customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to ensure the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
