Job summary

Farmfoods is hiring an Assistant Manager for our Northampton shop (NN5 5LE). The role is a permanent full-time position with a 43-hour contract across 5 days, usually including at least one weekend shift. Flexibility across the week is expected for full-time candidates.

The package includes a salary of £31,449.60–£35,306.88 per annum, 30 days holiday, and a staff benefits package. You will lead a small team, drive training, and ensure smooth shop operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as manager, team leader or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Work with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and deliver great service to customers.
• Develop and coach your team of retail assistants through feedback and mentoring.
• Be accountable for the shop in the manager's absence and ensure customers are looked after and shop routines completed.
• Help control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
