Job summary

Farmfoods in Shrewsbury, SY1 3AZ, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead a 43-hour week across five days, including weekends. This permanent full-time role combines hands-on people leadership with delivering great customer service in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide great service.
• Develop the team of retail assistants through coaching and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure safe, clean operations.
• Motivate and guide the team to control costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
