About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Retail Assistant is vital in delivering excellent Customer Service. You will be an integral part of the team, contributing to achieving branch and individual targets through face-to-face sales, servicing click-and-collect orders, and developing strong customer relationships.

Main Duties Include

  1. Serve trade and retail customers for click-and-collect and general orders, maximising sales where possible.
  2. Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders.
  3. Assist the sales team with product promotions by answering telephone and electronic queries.
  4. Fully satisfy customer needs regarding part orders, returns, or queries.
  5. Check customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
  6. Contribute to positive team performance and work on personal sales benchmarks.
  7. Utilise the E-learning portal to enhance product knowledge and performance.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of customer-facing areas.
  9. Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
  10. Represent the company professionally, adhering to our values and maintaining a professional appearance.
  11. Work towards achieving relevant KPIs.

Working Hours

20.5 hours on average, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturdays.

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Proven customer service or retail experience in a customer-facing role.
  2. Target-driven and motivated to achieve results.
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Positive approach to customer queries and proactive resolution seeking.
  5. Confident in using IT and computer systems.
  6. Ability to work well with others.
  7. Excellent attention to detail.
  8. Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
  9. Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.
