Reuse Retail Assistant

Salary – £12.21 per hour
Hours – 37.50 hours per week, 9am to 5pm
Location – Thorn Turn, LU5 6GJ

As a Reuse Retail Assistant at FCC Environment, you will support sustainability and waste reduction by managing our Reuse Shop. You will work with a small team to handle donated goods, ensuring excellent customer service.

This is a full-time role on a 5-week rolling rota.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shop operations
• Organise, price, and display donated goods
• Collect goods from other sites, ensuring safe loading/unloading
• Ensure electrical items are PAT tested (training provided)
• Process customer payments and deliver excellent service
• Support promotional events and campaigns
• Keep the shop and surrounding area tidy
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Report issues or complaints to the line manager

Candidate Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Team player with a proactive attitude
• Retail experience preferred but not essential
• Strong communication skills
• Physically able to handle manual duties
• Willing to undertake PAT testing and other training
• Passionate about sustainability and reuse
