Job summary

Birmingham Women\u2019s and Children\u2019s NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Resuscitation Practitioner to support education, simulation, patient safety initiatives and clinical skills training across the Trust.

The post holder will promote best practice in resuscitation and patient safety, contribute to mandatory training and help ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering resuscitation education and training (e.g., course delivery, skills assessment).
• Ability to use evidence-based teaching methods and simulation to train staff.
• Knowledge of national resuscitation standards and mandatory training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support a wide range of resuscitation and patient safety education programmes across the Trust.
• Teach and assess clinical skills using evidence-based approaches and simulation methodologies.
• Support compliance with national resuscitation standards, Trust policies and mandatory training requirements.
• Provide specialist advice and support to multidisciplinary teams on resuscitation and patient safety matters.
• Contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of education programmes and learning events.
• Support quality improvement, audit, governance and service development activities within the Resuscitation Service.
• Work collaboratively with ward managers, clinical teams and key stakeholders to identify and address learning needs.
• Contribute to course faculty, simulation activity, emergency response support, resuscitation equipment assurance and other operational functions of the Resuscitation Service.
