Job summary

Bishop Fleming UK is seeking an experienced Partner to lead our Restructuring and Insolvency team in the South West. You will win work, shape strategy, and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients across solvent, distressed and insolvent scenarios.

You will oversee business development, manage complex cases, mentor teams, and contribute to strategic plans. ACA/ACCA and JIEB qualifications are preferred, with a proven track record of leading high-impact assignments.

Qualifications

  • Extensive restructuring and insolvency experience required.
  • Proven track record of winning client work and business development.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities across teams and engagements.
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with JIEB/appointment taking where applicable.
  • Strong communication and project management skills essential.
  • Results-driven mindset with strategic business thinking.
  • Experience working with directors and c-suite on high-impact restructurings.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Restructuring and Insolvency team and set strategic direction.
  • Win work, nurture intermediaries and secure new engagements.
  • Advise clients and directors on options in solvent, distressed and insolvent scenarios.
  • Oversee project delivery: scope, timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and mentor team members; oversee resource planning.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to capitalise on restructuring opportunities.

About this opportunity

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for solving complex business challenges? We’re looking for an experienced and driven Partner to join our expanding Restructuring and Insolvency team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead from the front—winning work, shaping strategy, and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Business Development: Cultivating and expanding a network of intermediaries and referral contacts to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Restructuring and Insolvency projects: Advising clients and directors on options and strategies in solvent, distressed and insolvent situations; leading a portfolio of principally corporate insolvency cases; collaborating to deliver solutions.
  • Project Coordination: Ensure assignments are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Team Development: Managing and developing team members, overseeing resource planning, and supporting career growth.
  • Strategic Leadership: Contributing to strategies and business plans, identifying new revenue and cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Working with internal teams to identify and support restructuring and insolvency opportunities.
  • Technical Expertise: Sharing knowledge, ensuring risk management, and maintaining quality standards.
What we are looking for
