  • Maintain and further develop an established network of referrers including:
    • Banks and financial institutions
    • Solicitors
    • Accountants and professional advisers
    • Asset-based lenders and alternative funders
    • Private equity and investment contacts
  • Build and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Represent the firm at networking events, industry forums and client meetings.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines.
  • Act as a senior ambassador for the firm in the marketplace, enhancing profile and reputation.

Technical Delivery

  • Lead and oversee a wide range of corporate restructuring and insolvency appointments.
  • Provide technical leadership across engagements including:
    • Administrations
    • Liquidations (CVL, MVL and compulsory)
    • Receiverships
    • Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs)
    • Independent business reviews
    • Contingency planning assignments
    • Distressed M&A processes
    • Turnaround engagements
    • Stakeholder negotiations
  • Advise lenders, directors, shareholders and other stakeholders on restructuring options and insolvency processes.
  • Ensure all engagements are delivered to the highest professional, regulatory and technical standards.
  • Provide guidance and quality review on complex and contentious cases.

Personal Insolvency (Desirable)

  • Technical experience across personal insolvency engagements would be advantageous, including:
    • Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs)
    • Bankruptcies
    • Debt solutions and restructuring options
  • Support the wider team in personal insolvency matters where required.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, supervise and develop restructuring teams across multiple engagements.
  • Act as a mentor to managers and emerging leaders within the practice.
  • Support recruitment, retention and succession planning initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, commercial awareness and client service.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and growth plans of the restructuring practice.

  • Demonstrable track record of leading complex corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation, regulation and best practice.
  • Established business development credentials with evidence of originating and winning work.
  • Strong existing referral network among banks, solicitors, accountants and other professional intermediaries.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain senior stakeholder relationships.

  • Leadership presence with the ability to inspire confidence and drive performance.
  • Collaborative approach with a focus on team development and firm growth.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on revenue generation and market development.

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualification desirable but not essential (JIEB, ACA, ACCA, CAI or equivalent).
  • Licensed Insolvency Practitioner preferred, or a clear pathway towards appointment.
  • Significant experience within restructuring and insolvency.
