The role requires strong planning, cost awareness and insurer relations, plus the ability to drive safety, training and continuous improvement. A senior hands-on leader with UK driving license is preferred.

Restoration Operations Manager - Fire & Water Damage

Watford | London & South East

£42,000 - £48,000 + Bonus + Company Vehicle | Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Restoration Operations Manager to join a specialist business operating within property damage restoration and insurance claims.

This is a senior position overseeing the technical field operation, with responsibility for standards, people, quality, compliance and operational performance.

The Role

You will lead Field Technical Managers and Senior Technicians, ensuring fire and water damage restoration projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.

• Lead and develop field-based technical teams
• Oversee fire and water damage restoration and insurance repair projects
• Set and maintain technical and quality standards
• Plan and allocate resources across multiple live jobs
• Lead health & safety, RAMS, site inspections and compliance
• Develop and deliver technical training programmes
• Support complex and high-risk restoration projects
• Build strong relationships with insurers and loss adjusters
• Monitor job profitability, costs and resource requirements
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, scheduling and reporting
• Work closely with Directors on technical strategy and business growth

About You

You will have substantial experience within:

• Disaster restoration
• Fire and water damage restoration
• Property damage / insurance repairs
• Insurance claims
• Working with loss adjusters and insurers
• Leading or supervising field-based technical teams

You will need strong technical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commercial understanding of job costs, margins and resource planning.

Full UK driving licence required. Candidates should be based within approximately one hour of Watford.

BDMA, IICRC WRT/ASD/FSRT, CSCS or IOSH qualifications would be advantageous.
