Job summary

Subway is hiring a Restaurant Technology Specialist to support our EMEA team, ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of in‑restaurant technology across a portfolio of quick service locations.

You'll work closely with restaurant operations, IT service teams, and vendors, preparing hardware and testing devices prior to store deployment. This role requires a degree in a related field and 3–5 years of retail tech experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in computer technology, preferably in retail environments.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Good understanding of POS systems.
• Highly commercial with strong business/financial acumen, market awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational (Level 2) support for restaurant technology, including POS, payments, kitchen systems, kiosks, digital menu boards, camera systems, and store networks
• Ensure rapid resolution of incidents impacting restaurant operations, guest experience, or revenue
• Coordinate with Service Desk, internal IT teams, and third‑party vendors to meet agreed service level
• Support technology rollouts, upgrades, and refresh activities across multiple restaurant locations
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive corrective actions
• Monitor system health and proactively address risks to service availability
• Maintain accurate asset, configuration, and site documentation
• Act as a key liaison between Restaurant Operations and Technology teams
• Prepare and stage hardware for infrastructure being installed in stores, including configuring and testing devices ahead of on‑site deployment
