Job summary

British Garden Centres is seeking a Restaurant Team Member for our Northampton site. This temporary-Christmas, part-time role involves weekend work and approximately 5 hours per week. You will be part of a busy restaurant team, handling drinks, orders, till duties, and maintaining a high standard of service and hygiene.

Flexibility is key as the role supports peak trading periods. Experience in hospitality and customer service is valued, with staff parking and discount perks offered by the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Barista skills are a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of restaurant duties.
• Clear tables regularly and maintain cleanliness.
• Sweep, mop and wash up as required.
• Make drinks and operate the till.
• Take food and drink orders and serve customers.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and pleasant customer experience.

May be required to use a computerised tilling system.

Will also involve usual jobs associated with working in a busy restaurant.

Must be Friendly & Confident for this customer facing role.

Be able to work on own initiative & as part of a team, able to adapt to the demands & speed of the business at peak trading.

Your responsibilities will include:

• To include all aspects of restaurant duties.
• Clearing tables.
• Sweeping and mopping.
• Washing up duties.
• Making drinks.
• Till operation.
• Taking food and drink orders to serve our customers.
• Maintain and manage premises with excellent hygiene practises, this may include washing up duties.
• Ensuring our customers have a pleasant experience in our restaurant.
