Job summary

Qualifications

• Solid experience in hotel food & beverage operations, ideally within a premium or lifestyle environment.
• Highly organized and confident in a fast-paced setting.
• Guest-first mindset with a supportive, consistent leadership style to guide, motivate and develop the team.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the day to day functioning of all restaurant employees, facilities, sales and costs.
• Supervises, co-ordinates and directs the prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages in the restaurant.
• Establishes and maintains effective employee relationships.
• Conducts, under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager, interviewing, hiring, orientation, on the job performance, coaching, counseling and suspension if necessary to ensure staffing and productivity.
• Conducts pre shift briefings and liaises with The Head Chef.
• Participates in service as necessary in accordance with the restaurant's requirements and practices.
• Ensures restaurant grooming and appearance standards are met at all times.
• Assists in administration work as required by the Restaurant Manager.
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Sets up and carries out training of all staff at all levels, under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager.
