Job summary

Galgorm Collection is seeking a dedicated restaurant manager to join the Parisien Belfast management team. You will support the Operations Manager in day‑to‑day operational issues relating to food & beverage service within Parisien Belfast, which operates Wednesday to Sunday and can be privately hired for weddings and events.

The role requires at least two years of management experience in a café/restaurant or bar, with experience in opening/closing procedures and till reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years management experience in a café/hotel/restaurant and/or bar.
• Experience in opening and closing procedures including till reconciliations and key holder duties.
• Experience in events and weddings is desirable.
• Experience in cocktail making and barista training is advantageous.
• Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient service to all visiting guests.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu to answer guest queries.
• Supervise F&B team with training and daily duties.
• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with fire, health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Take part in regular team meetings and report issues to management.
• Use till systems to place orders and process payments correctly.
• Carry out opening/closing procedures and till reconciliations.
• Upsell Galgorm Collection and facilities to maximise profitability.
• Maintain personal appearance and uniform in line with standards.

HOURS:Full-time 5 days out of 7, Parisien Belfast open’s Wed-Sun.The restaurant can also be privately hired outside of opening days.

About the role:

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic restaurant manager to join our Parisien Belfast management team. Your role will be to support the Operations Manager in all day-day operational issues relating to the food & beverage service within Parisien Belfast.Parisien Belfast operates as a restaurant from Wednesday -Sunday.The venue is also host to Weddings and Events so experience in this area would be beneficial allow not essential as training will be provided.

Job Description:

The main duties will include but are not limited to;

• Consistently provide a friendly and efficient service to all visiting guests.
• Having full and complete knowledge of the menu, enabling you to assist with any guest or customer queries.
• Supervising the F&B team ensuring that all are well trained and daily duties are clearly outlined.
• Demonstrating effective communication skills and working in a professional manner with all customers and colleagues.
• Monitoring team members to ensure all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations are observed.
• Participating in regular team meetings.
• Reporting any guest or operational issues to the Management team.
• Using the restaurant till systems to place orders and process customer payments correctly.
• Carrying out opening and closing procedures, including till reconciliations and otherkey holder duties.
• Ensuring knowledge of the Galgorm Collection and facilities is up to date in order to upsell at every opportunity and maximise profitability.
• Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Collection/ Restaurant standards at all times.
• Attending any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

The Person:

Applicants must:

• Have a passion for hospitality.
• Have at least 2 years management experience in a café/hotel/ restaurant and/or bar (Essential).
• Have experience incarrying out opening and closing procedures of a café/restaurant and or bar including till reconciliations and otherkey holder duties. (Essential)
• Experience in working events and weddings(Desirable)..
• Experience in cocktail making.
• Barista trained.
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
• Have exemplary attention to detail.
• Be performance-driven and focused on implementing a culture of excellent customer service.
• Excellent planning and organisation abilities.
• Be able to work well while under pressure and show initiative whilst multi-tasking.
• Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work early mornings, lunchtime, evening shifts, and weekends.
