We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to support the General Manager and lead our team in one of London’s most exciting hospitality environments.
About the Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, support the leadership team, and motivate staff to deliver memorable guest experiences. You’ll be proactive, energetic, and solutions-oriented—thriving in a high-quality, high-volume setting.
You will provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to meet departmental goals efficiently. You’ll serve as a role model for the front-of-house team, support staff training and development, and lead in service quality, standards, and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain good relationships with staff, other departments, and suppliers.
- Ensure courteous, professional, and attentive service at all times.
- Understand all restaurant service functions and responsibilities.
- Describe and ensure the quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, with expertise in wine and spirits, creating a refined dining environment.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Head Chef.
- Manage daily shift operations, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
- Handle guest feedback to maintain high standards.
- Act as an ambassador for the ethics and values of Black Rock Restaurants.
People Management
- Recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, and guide staff to meet standards and support new recruits through on-the-job training.
- Participate in staff briefings and related activities.
- Support recruitment, induction, training, and performance appraisals.
- Build and maintain an efficient team aligned with business objectives.
- Manage staffing levels and control wage budgets.
- Develop a learning culture, ensuring staff feel valued and rewarded.
- Promote staff training and monitor development activities.
- Provide regular feedback and performance assessments.
- Monitor grooming and personal hygiene standards.
Guest Service
- Be visible during operations, recognize staff efforts, and promote good public relations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively, escalating when necessary.

Candidate Profile
- 2-3 years’ management experience in premium hospitality
- Strong operational and guest service skills
- Passion for quality food, wine, and guest experiences
- Ability to maintain staffing levels within budget
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Calm, confident presence during high-volume service
