Job Title: Assistant Restaurant

Location: Ladurée Stores / Coffee Shops

Reports to: Store Manager/ Head of Retail

Role Focus: Assistant Store Manager, Restaurant Operations

Location: Covent Garden, London

About Ladurée: Ladurée is a renowned French patisserie and restaurant, famous for its macarons and elegant dining. With over 100 locations across 17 countries, including 12 in the UK, we blend tradition, elegance, and excellence.

We seek a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to lead our Covent Garden restaurant, café, and coffee shop teams, overseeing both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities
  1. Restaurant Operations & Floor Management: Oversee daily operations, manage bookings, ensure cleanliness and ambiance, coordinate FOH and BOH teams during service.
  2. Team Leadership: Support and develop FOH staff, oversee BOH in partnership with the Head Chef, conduct daily briefings, foster a respectful team culture.
  3. Guest Experience & Service Standards: Deliver personalized service, handle VIPs and complaints professionally, maintain a strong presence during busy times.
  4. Training & Development: Support onboarding, provide coaching, ensure menu knowledge, promote employee growth.
  5. Sales & Performance: Assist in driving sales, upselling, and accurate cash handling.
  6. Health & Safety: Enforce safety, hygiene, and food handling standards, ensure policy compliance.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 12+ years in luxury hospitality or fine dining management.
  • Leadership: Confident in managing diverse teams with clear communication.
  • Service Excellence: Passionate about high standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Organization: Excellent time management under pressure.
  • Problem Solving: Calm, resourceful, solutions-oriented.
  • POS & Cash Handling: Experienced with POS systems and cash reconciliation.
  • Flexibility: Willing to work weekends, holidays, busy periods.
