The Duke's Head Hotel in King’s Lynn is seeking a Restaurant and Bar Team Member to join the Restaurant and Bar Team. Bring energy, curiosity and a can-do spirit to deliver great service and guest experiences in a busy hotel setting.

You’ll learn menus, drinks, and serving standards, working across restaurant and bar areas with a team dedicated to hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• No previous hospitality experience required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Excellent guest service mindset with energy and motivation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work opening/closing shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve food and drink.
• Process payments and ensure guest satisfaction.

We’re looking for a Restaurant and Bar Team Member that bring energy, curiosity and a can-do spirit. Someone who loves the buzz of service and the joy of making someone’s day.

Situated in a prime town-centre location, The Duke’s Head is a historic hotel in the heart of King’s Lynn, where period charm meets contemporary style. The property features 80 spacious guest rooms, alongside an much loved restaurant, lounge, and vibrant bar.

How you'll bring the magic to the floor as our Restaurant and Bar Team Member:

• Has a positive, can‑do attitude towards customers and other team.
• A genuine enthusiasm for learning about all things food and drink — including spirits, wines, cocktails, and delivering the “perfect serve”.
• A willingness to understand different food styles and service standards, learn the menus, and confidently explain dishes to customers.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with guests in a lively, fast‑paced environment.
• The ability to deliver great service — taking orders, serving food and drink, processing payments, and ensuring every guest has an excellent experience.
• Commitment to meeting site service standards and working effectively as part of the team.
• A developing or good understanding of preparing coffees and serving alcohol and wine in both bar and restaurant settings.
• Availability to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a pro‑rata basis.
• A willingness to continue your development through in‑house and external training sessions.
