Job summary

Thatchers Hotel in Guildford is seeking a Restaurant & Bar Team Leader to lead, motivate and support the F&B team. You will drive standards across all food and beverage areas while delivering warm, personalised guest experiences.

Take ownership of leading service from the front, including taking orders, serving, processing payments and ensuring the team maintains high standards. Exciting progression opportunities exist within the group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a Food & Beverage team; leadership experience advantageous.
• Passion for driving and improving standards across all F&B areas.
• Commitment to delivering guest experiences with warmth and personality.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team while maintaining high standards.
• Lead service from the front, including guest orders, serving, payments and service.

We're looking for a Restaurant & Bar Team Leader to lead, motivate and support the team. Thatchers Hotel is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. With 87 newly refurbished rooms, with multiple event and conference spaces, Thatchers is a stunning property to work within.

To be a successful Restaurant & Bar Team Leader you will need;

• Proven experience working within a Food & Beverage team; previous leadership experience is advantageous
• A passion for driving and improving standards across all food and beverage areas, with strong attention to detail
• Commitment to delivering best‑in‑class guest experiences with warmth and personality
• Ability to lead, inspire, train, and motivate a team while maintaining high standards in a fair and consistent manner
• Lead service from the front, including taking guest orders, serving food and drinks, processing payments, and delivering excellent customer service
• Ensure all site service standards are met and lead the team to do the same, creating a great guest experience
• Strong knowledge of serving coffee, alcohol, and wine in both bar and restaurant environments
• Responsibility for opening and closing shifts, including cash ups and end‑of‑day sign‑offs
