Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a responsive repairs planner on a 6-month fixed-term contract to join the Direct Services team. You will manage the maintenance scheduling diary, coordinate with residents, operatives and contractors, and ensure repairs are booked, diagnosed and completed to service standards.

Hybrid working is available; base offices in Maidstone or Sittingbourne, with travel as needed. You will prioritise urgent repairs and maintain accurate records to support first-time fix rates

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling or coordinating work in a maintenance, housing or repairs environment
• Experience delivering a front line, customer focused service
• Good numeracy and literacy skills with data management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload and manage competing demands
• Confidence using IT systems and standard office software
• Experience in housing management or maintenance (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance scheduling diary and coordinate with teams
• Be the first point of contact for scheduling enquiries from residents, operatives and contractors
• Prioritise urgent and emergency repairs and ensure service levels are met
• Maintain accurate records and keep residents informed to support a right-first-time approach
