Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a organised Scheduler to join Direct Services in Maidstone. You will manage the repairs scheduling diary, liaising with residents, operatives and contractors to ensure timely, accurate appointments and high service standards.

You’ll prioritise urgent repairs, maintain clear records, and support a right-first-time culture while contributing to productivity and resident satisfaction. Hybrid options may be available upon agreement with your manager.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling or coordinating work in a maintenance, housing or repairs environment.
• Front line, customer focused service experience.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to manage data accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to plan and prioritise your workload and manage competing demands.
• Confidence using IT systems and standard office software.
• Experience working in a housing management or maintenance environment (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance scheduling diary and coordinate with the Property Administration and Customer Services teams to diagnose and schedule repairs.
• Be the first point of contact for scheduling enquiries, liaising with residents, operatives and contractors to resolve issues quickly.
• Manage appointments, adjust schedules as needed, prioritise urgent and emergency repairs within service levels.
• Maintain accurate records and keep residents informed to support a right-first-time approach and productivity.
• Work from one of the main offices in Maidstone or Sittingbourne with potential hybrid working agreements.
