Job summary

Aberlour Child Care Trust in Prestwick is seeking relief workers to support our busy respite service for children and young people with disabilities, autism and complex needs. Roles are casual, hourly paid, with shifts on a rota basis including night duties on some weekdays and weekends.

Ideally you have social care experience, are willing to work towards SSSC registration in Residential Child Care Workers and Day Care of Children Services categories, and show a commitment to young people’s

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities or autism.
• Willingness to register with the SSSC under Residential Child Care Workers and Day Care of Children Services.
• Willing to work towards HNC and SVQ3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief cover on a rota basis during staff absence or busy periods.
• Support the team in delivering safe, person-centred care to children and young people.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and PVG checks where required.
• Contribute to a positive, homely environment for children and families.
