Job summary

Enable Scotland is inviting applications for a compassionate Childcare Practitioner to join Roslin House in Stevenston. This role involves supporting children and young people aged 5–18 with additional support needs during short breaks and overnight periods.

You will help with activities, communication and personal care, while promoting safety, independence and positive experiences for families. A values-driven approach and caring nature are essential.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, motivated and values-led individual.
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs preferred.
• Ability to work in a residential care setting with children aged 5–18.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people to enjoy meaningful activities and routines.
• Assist with communication, personal care, sensory activities and celebrations of achievements.
• Help residents access the community and engage in short breaks within Roslin House.

Roslin House is a state of the art 8 bedded respite service that supports children and young people ages 5 - 18 with additional support needs to enjoy short stay.At Roslin House, we provide short breaks and specialist support for children and young people with complex additional support needs. Every stay is an opportunity to create positive experiences, build confidence, promote independence and provide families with trusted support.

We're looking for compassionate, motivated and values-led Childcare Practitioners who are passionate about making a difference. You'll support children and young people to enjoy meaningful activities, achieve personal outcomes, build relationships and experience fun, safe and memorable short breaks.

No two days are the same. One moment you may be supporting a young person to access the community, the next you may be helping with communication, personal care, sensory activities or celebrating an achievement they have accomplished.
