Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a band 5 physiologist on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The role focuses on advanced respiratory and sleep investigations with results written up as factual reports, across the Oldham community diagnostic centre and the Fairfield and Oldham hospitals for patients of all ages.

A relevant science degree is essential, with opportunities for development and flexible working within a large NHS trust.

Qualifications

BSc in a relevant science.
Experience working in respiratory and sleep physiology.

Responsibilities

Perform a range of clinical respiratory and sleep investigations on patients of all ages
Perform advanced respiratory investigations
Support sleep investigations
Interpret results and provide factual reports
Support initiation of treatment and patient follow-up
Provide a comprehensive respiratory and sleep investigation service across a wide range of specialties, including cardio-thoracic conditions
Work collaboratively with colleagues to keep the service running smoothly
Work across the Northern Care Alliance sites where required
