University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist to join the Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The post is 36 hours per week (0.96 WTE) and focuses on delivering respiratory physiology testing and a high‑quality sleep study service.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience of lung function testing.
• Sleep physiology experience preferred.
• BSc in Healthcare Science or equivalent.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking standard lung function investigations with inpatients & outpatients (spirometry, FeNO, nasal NO & bronchodilator response assessments).
• Performing complex lung function investigations (MBW, lung volumes & gas transfer).
• Facilitating sleep study investigations (overnight oximetry, overnight CO2 monitoring and respiratory polygraphy).
• Analysing & reporting sleep studies following standards.
• Maintaining equipment and training junior staff.
