Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is recruiting for a Resourcing Officer (Band 3) on a 22.5-hour, agile working basis. The role covers recruitment administration across all Trust areas and all pre-employment checks to ensure NHS standards are met.

You will input data on ESR/Trac and issue recruitment packs, while maintaining effective communication with managers and candidates throughout onboarding. Experience in recruitment HR is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a recruitment HR environment.
  • GCSE English and Maths at a minimum standard (C or equivalent).
  • Administrative/clerical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an effective recruitment administration service across all Trust areas.
  • Carry out pre-employment checks ensuring NHS Employment Standards compliance.
  • Produce recruitment packs and manage data entry on ESR, Trac, and NHS Jobs.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and candidates during onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate records and respond to large application volumes promptly.

Resourcing Officer, Band 3, 22.5, agile working

If you've answered yes to the above this could be the role for you!

There is currently an opportunity for you to join our professional recruitment team. You will be responsible for all elements of the recruitment administration across all areas of the Trust using our Trac electronic recruitment system.

You will be responsible for carrying out pre-employment checks for all applicants and ensuring their files are compliant with NHS Employment Standards in terms of offer documentation, right to work and DBS clearance checks.

If we receive a large volume of applications, we reserve the right to close this vacancy early.

Main duties of the job

To provide an effective and efficient recruitment service and to provide a front line recruitment administration service.

The production and issuing of recruitment packs.

The entering of personal details and maintain and update information on the Electronic Systems, Trac, ESR and NHS Jobs.

The production of appropriate correspondence at all stages of the recruitment process.

To provide effective advice and support on recruitment issues in a timely and proactive manner to managers.

To have effective communication with all managers and candidates during the on boarding process.

Education & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a recruitment HR environment
  • A good standard of general education - GCSE C or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience of administrative/clerical work
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Ability to use computer and type and use other IT systems and databases eg ESR, Microsoft office, excel, e-mail and internet
  • The ability to use own initiative and suggest improvements to departmental systems/procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
