Job summary

Barr Beacon School in Aldridge, Walsall, is seeking a Resource Centre Manager to run the Resource Centre and Library, promoting reading and supporting leaders in running targeted reading interventions for weaker readers. You will also assist with general administration duties.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, an excellent communicator, computer literate, and passionate about reading. You will collaborate with other resource centre managers across our trust to drive reading

Qualifications

• Very organised with good time management
• Strong communicator, verbally and in writing
• Computer literate and willing to learn new software/tools
• Passionate about reading and promoting reading
• Creative in encouraging pupils to become lifelong readers
• Eager to collaborate with other resource centre managers across the trust

Responsibilities

• Run the Resource Centre and Library, ensuring it is a welcoming environment for all
• Promote reading and lead targeted interventions for weaker readers
