Job summary

Barr Beacon School in Aldridge, Walsall, is seeking a Resource Centre Manager to run the Resource Centre and Library, promoting reading and supporting leaders in running targeted reading interventions for weaker readers. You will also assist with general administration duties.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, an excellent communicator, computer literate, and passionate about reading. You will collaborate with other resource centre managers across our trust to drive reading

Resource Centre Manager
Barr Beacon School, Old Hall Lane, Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 0RF

37 hours |Monday to Friday | Term Time Only

Starting Salary: £21,290.91 (FTE £24,573)

Start Date: September 2026

The role:

Can your ideas and creativity drive our Resource Centre to the next level? In this role you will run the Resource Centre and Library, ensuring the environment in respected by everyone, using creative approaches to promote reading and supporting leaders in running targeted reading interventions to support weaker readers. You will also be required to assist with any other general administration duties.
