Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd seeks an experienced Technical Coordinator to join its Birmingham-based team. You will manage and coordinate technical design across multiple residential projects, ensuring designs are practical, compliant, and delivered on programme.

You will work with architects, engineers and M&E designers, review drawings, and drive buildability from planning through to construction, with a focus on high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Technical Coordinator or similar role within residential development or housebuilding.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and building regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
• Good knowledge of UK planning and approval processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate external consultants including architects, structural engineers, and M&E designers
• Manage the design process from planning through to construction and completion
• Review and approve technical drawings and specifications
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and industry standards
• Resolve design and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Liaise with site teams to ensure smooth delivery and buildability
• Monitor and manage technical budgets and programme milestones
• Support value engineering and cost-effective design solutions
