Job summary

RESICARE ALLIANCE is hiring a Residential Support Worker in Wolverhampton to provide safe, nurturing, child-centred care to children and young people with complex needs. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role paying £13.50 per hour.

You will act as a key worker, follow care plans, and support education, activities and health appointments while building positive relationships. Applicants may be new to residential childcare but must demonstrate the right values and potential; Level 3 Diploma

Qualifications

• Essential for Residential Support Worker: genuine motivation to work with children and make a positive difference.
• Willingness to work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years.
• Ability to build appropriate relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, child-centred care that promotes safety, stability and wellbeing
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children while maintaining professional boundaries
• Supporting children with daily routines, education, activities, health appointments and life skills
• Following care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
• Acting as a key worker for allocated children, taking responsibility for care planning and outcomes
• Maintaining accurate, timely records and contributing to reviews
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, and leading shifts when required
• Engaging respectfully with families, social workers and other professionals
• Working towards your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already achieved)
