Job summary

Resicare Alliance Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide safe, child-centred care for children and young people in our residential home. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week at £13.50 per hour and opportunities to grow within the service.

You will work as part of a team, build positive relationships, follow care plans, and support education, health appointments, and life skills.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy and commitment to children.
• Strong communication and cooperation with colleagues and families.
• Willingness to complete Level 3 Diploma within two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, child-centred care supporting safety and wellbeing.
• Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Support children with daily routines, education, activities, health appointments and life skills.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Act as key worker for allocated children and contribute to care planning and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in reviews.
• Collaborate with colleagues and lead shifts when required.
• Engage respectfully with families, social workers and professionals.
• Work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not yet achieved).
