Job summary

Hexagon Care Services is seeking a compassionate Residential Support Worker for Oakwood Children’s Home in Kirkham, Preston. You will support young people with daily activities, appointments, and behavioural management in a safe, nurturing home.

Key responsibilities include cooking, cleaning, outings, and working with psychologists and the therapy team to set boundaries and strategies for care. Flexibility is required for evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Job Summary

Job title: Residential Support Worker
Home: Oakwood
Location: Kirkham, Preston
Salary: £27,525 - £31,375 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Earnings: £32,700 - £36,550 (based on salary + 10 sleep-ins per month)
Hours: 40.5 per week plus sleep ins (paid at £45 per night)
Shifts per Month: 11 Shifts
Shift Pattern: 1 shift on, 2 shifts off
Shift start time: 10:00am until 11:00pm, followed by a sleep in handover 10am-10:30am
Annual Leave Entitlement: 243 hours
Essential Criteria: Driving Licence

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team at Oakwood Children’s Home. You will help provide essential support to young people in care, assisting them with daily activities, appointments, and behavioural management, all while creating a positive and nurturing home environment.
