Job summary

We Change Lives (WCL) is seeking a Female Learning Disability Support Worker to assist residents at Guernsey House and Park Drive. You will join a compassionate team supporting four women and two men with varying needs, many using wheelchairs, with a shared interest in fashion, shopping, and coffee trips.

The role offers full-time days (42 hours weekly) on a 3 on / 3 off rota, with a starting wage of £12.71 per hour and additional benefits such as a £250 Welcome Bonus, meal bonuses, and

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; all training and qualifications provided on the job.
• Experience with Makaton communication is hugely beneficial.
• Full UK Driver's license and an interest in residents' hobbies.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily activities in Guernsey House and Park Drive.
• Promote independence and dignity during personal care.
• Encourage engagement in residents' hobbies and community activities.
• Follow care plans and report changes to the team.
