Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring, energetic Support Worker to join a specialist residential setting supporting children and young people with autism and associated needs. You will help youth build confidence, independence and enjoy daily life through mealtimes, activities and routines.

The role involves creating a safe environment, supporting before/after school, encouraging life skills, contributing to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support, and building strong relationships

• Create a safe, caring and consistent environment
• Support young people before and after the school day
• Encourage independence, including cooking and everyday life skills
• Get involved with evening and weekend activities
• Support social and emotional development
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support
• Build positive relationships with young people, families, carers and other professionals
