Job summary

Ambitious about Autism is seeking Residential Support Workers to assist learners in residential houses and the community, under supervision of the Care Management Team and Therapy Teams.

You will help with self-care, independence, social activities, and accompany learners on community outings, promoting confidence and meaningful experiences beyond the college setting. Flexible across sites; bank shifts available on request.

Qualifications

• The role supports learners with self-care and independence.
• Staff liaise with Care Management Team and Therapy Teams.

Responsibilities

• Supporting learners with self-care and independence skills (eating, drinking, washing, bathing, toilet, incontinence, dressing, mobility, medication).
• Keeping care files up to date and accurate.
• Reviewing handover logs and communication at shift start to address learners' needs.
• Establishing supportive relationships and promoting emotional health and self-esteem.
• Accompanying learners to social and recreational activities in the community.
