Job summary

Vetro Recruitment in Treharris is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a specialist residential setting for young adults aged 16–25 with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. The role centers on person-centred care and helping clients achieve independence.

You will deliver tailored care, support daily living skills, promote PBS, assist community access, and maintain records while adhering to safeguarding standards; shift work including weekends and sleep-ins is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience in support work or residential care is preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain records.
• Interest in autism support and adult social care.

Responsibilities

• Delivering person-centred care and support plans tailored to individual needs
• Supporting independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and self-care
• Promoting positive behaviour support (PBS) and emotional regulation strategies
• Supporting community access and social inclusion activities
• Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
• Working within safeguarding, CQC, and health & social care standards
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
