Job summary

Keys Group in Southampton is seeking a resilient Children’s Residential Support Worker to care for young people with complex medical needs, learning disabilities, autism, and mobility challenges. You will provide personal care, support daily routines, and work a shift pattern including sleep-ins.

A full UK driving licence is beneficial and training is provided. Join a supportive team with induction, funded training, enhanced pay scales, and generous leave.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care such as adult LD, SEN education, medical or nursing care, elderly care or working with vulnerable people is essential

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children, led and supported by a registered manager
  • Act as a professional parent, to give encouragement and praise
  • Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
  • Provide medical support which includes physio routines, medication, peg feeding, moving and handling, hoists and lifting equipment
  • Build friendships and trusting relationships
  • Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
  • Ensure a safe home environment, cleaning, laundry, cooking is part of the job

Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker - complex care
Location: Southampton
Salary: Starting from £14.05 per hour PLUS an additional £62.64 per sleep in
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week working a shift pattern which includes long days and sleep ins.
Personal Care Is Required As Part Of This Role.
Full UK Drivers licence is required
