Job summary

Keys Children in Crawley is seeking casual Children’s Residential Support Workers to join two homes in the area. The role involves caring for children with complex needs and working sleep-ins; you will be supported by a registered manager to provide a safe, nurturing home.

A strong commitment to safeguarding is essential, with enhanced DBS paid for by the employer. The package includes a Real Living Wage minimum, induction, funded training, enhanced pay scales, maternity/paternity pay, wellbeing

Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker

Salary: from £14.45 per hour PLUS an additional £62.64 per sleep in

We are looking for casual dedicated children's support workers to become part of our brand new family home, caring for children and young people who may have complex needs, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.

We want to create a safe haven where every child's potential shines bright,you'll be the beacon of hope, providing unwavering support to our young champions.

The role can be emotionally challenging and you could be handling difficult situations BUT you could be the person to change a child's life for the better.

What do you need?

• We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
• Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
• Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
• Experiencein care or transferable skills such as children's nursery, education, sports or working with vulnerable people is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
• Full UK Driving licence is essential.
• You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins
