Keys Children is seeking Casual Children's Residential Support Workers in Southampton and Woolston. You will care for children with complex needs in a family home, providing emotional support, personal care when needed, and a safe environment.

Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Location: Southampton and Woolston

Salary: from £14.45 per hour PLUS an additional £62.64 per sleep in

We are looking for dedicated Casual children's support workers to become part of our brand new family home, caring for children and young people who have complex needs, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.

We want to create a safe haven where every child's potential shines bright,you'll be the beacon of hope, providing unwavering support to our young champions.

The role can be emotionally challenging and you could be handling difficult situations BUT you could be the person to change a child's life for the better.

What do you need?

  • Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
  • Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
  • Experiencein care or transferable skills such as children's nursery, education, sports or working with vulnerable people is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
  • Full UK Driving licence is essential.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins
