Job summary

Naija UK Connect Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a residential care team. The role offers 36 hours per week on a permanent, on-site basis with visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates.

You will support residents with daily activities, assist with meals, monitor wellbeing, administer medications per procedures, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in support work is desirable.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting people with mental health needs.
• Basic knowledge of medication administration procedures.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to complete relevant mandatory training.
• Ability to register with Social Care Wales, where applicable.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• A valid UK driving licence for a manual car is essential for transport duties, appointments and home visits.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality care and support to residents in a residential setting.
• Supporting residents with everyday activities such as personal hygiene and mobility.
• Assisting with meals and feeding where required.
• Administering medication per prescribed procedures and training.
• Encouraging participation in activities within and outside the residence.
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding to changes.
• Carrying out light domestic duties to maintain a safe environment.
• Transporting residents to appointments and outings when needed.
• Recording care provided using electronic documentation systems.
• Promoting independence, dignity, safety and wellbeing for residents.
• Collaborating with colleagues and professionals to deliver person-centred care.
