Job summary

Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Residential Support Worker to join a children's residential home in Nottinghamshire on a permanent basis.

You will provide safe, nurturing, and child-centred support to children and young people, helping them develop confidence and independence within a therapeutic home environment. You will work as part of a supportive team, follow safeguarding practices, and contribute to education, activities, and life-skills development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Previous experience in a children's residential setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Willingness to work towards a relevant qualification in Children and Young People's Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent, and child-centred care to children and young people.
• Support the emotional, physical, and psychological wellbeing of young people.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.
• Build positive relationships and act as a positive role model.
• Support young people with education, training, employment and life skills development.
• Assist in the implementation and review of care plans.
• Encourage participation in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Complete accurate records and reports using electronic systems.
• Undertake household duties including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a homely environment.
• Administer medication in line with organisational policies and training.

Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Home (Nottinghamshire)

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Residential Support Worker to join a children's residential home based in Nottinghamshire on a permanent basis.

Location: Nottinghamshire

Salary: £28,500 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern: 2 Days On / 4 Days Off

• Day 1: 8:00am to 11:00pm, followed by a sleep-in
• Day 2: 8:00am to 11:00pm, followed by a sleep-in
• Day 3: Finish at approximately 8:30am
• Then enjoy 4 consecutive days off
