Job description

Permanent, Residential Support Worker close to Kendal, Cumbria. Children's Residential Home / Childcare.

Location
This job vacancy would suit any candidate living close to Kendal, just off either the A6, A66, A590, A591, or M6. It may also suit candidates living near Penrith, Grange-over-Sands, Ulverston, Lancaster, Windermere, or other nearby areas.

Benefits

  • £24K - £27K per annum
  • Full-time hours, 39 hours per week (various shifts).
  • Part-time hours also available.
  • One sleep-in per week for 48 weeks.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will help transform the lives of children who have experienced abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, or trauma, in a therapeutic manner. You will create a safe environment, assist their social and emotional growth, teach life skills, and participate in activities such as trips out.

Criteria

  • Minimum 1-year experience working with Children & Young People – essential.
  • Level 3 Children & Young People / Children’s Residential Care/Workforce qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Car driver – essential.
