Job Description for Youth Support Workers

The young people we educate and care for come with a variety of needs and difficulties. Our goal is to help them build hope, confidence, knowledge, and skills to unlock their potential.

Through innovative educational experiences and national curriculum programs, supported by passionate specialists and key workers, we enable each young person to achieve their personal best in an environment that suits them.

Our growing family of 4, supporting over 2,000 children, is one of the UK’s largest providers of specialist education and behavioral health services.

The College caters to young people and adults with additional learning needs and complex behaviors. We are expanding our 52-week care placements and are seeking committed, resilient, empathetic, and engaging youth support workers. These roles involve delivering positive behavior support, empowering young people, and helping them develop self-regulation skills and lifelong independence.

As a vital part of dedicated teams, you will help children learn and develop essential life skills. No special qualifications are needed, but a passion for helping children is essential.

We are looking for Qualified Support Workers who are:

We provide a fully supported 6-month probationary period with mentorship and support to help you start your career at Dilston College.

We also offer a free Level 3 RQF Child and Young Person's Workforce qualification.
